Is this conference for a particular age group?

NOPE! We had people from their teen years to their 70s in attendance last year. This is an intergenerational conference for people of all ages (but please note, we don’t have childcare services but children are welcomed!)

Any Hotels or Airbnbs you Recommend?

Sowers Summit will take place at W83 Ministry Center - which is on 83rd street in the Upper West Side neighborhood of Manhattan. The closest hotels are Arthouse Hotel, Hotel Bellaclaire, The Wallace, Hotel Beacon, Empire Hotel, and La Quinta Inn and Suites. (please note, these aren’t our recommendations - we are just sharing which are the closest hotels).

Also, there’s currently some blocked rooms at Lucerne Hotel (just 4 blocks from the conference) for Sowers Summit attendees at a discounted rate of over $160 per night for 2 nights - here’s the direct link for that.

Is this conference connected to a Church?

Well, yes - it’s connected to and for the Body of Christ! But if you mean a formal church community, it’s not hosted by one - it’s hosted by Full Collective , which is an established ministry/small business that was founded in 2018 by Pricelis Dominguez (who is a Pastor at Renovation City Church). Will there be a space for moms to nurse or pump?

Yes! We will try our best to get a screen in that space so you don’t miss out on any of the conference but we can’t promise that just yet.

Are children allowed?

Yes - but you have to purchase a ticket for them and note that there is no childcare provided during the conference.

Are there day passes?

No, since this year it’s only a 2-day conference we won’t be selling day tickets.

What is in the area where in the conference will be?

EVERYTHING! There’s lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and we are also just a few blocks from both Riverside Park and Central Park! and across the street from the 1 Line Train Station! Scroll down to get the FREE NYC guide we are providing.

Will there be translations? Will there be sign language interpretation?

Unfortunately not for this conference but we hope to have that as an option in the future.

We will have part of worship be in Spanish and Creole - so that’s exciting!

If we see there’s a need for ASL interpretation then we have someone on-call to provide that service.

Is there parking nearby?

Ohhhh child! We recommend you either uber or take the train but if you are driving there’s always public parking lots that charge usually $15+ an hour and you can also try to find street parking (which may be difficult to find).

How can I get there?

The conference is ACTUALLY in Manhattan. The Conference address is 150 West 83rd Street NY, NY 10024. Just a few blocks from the 1, 2, 3, C, an B trains. If you’re flying in, we have 3 airports in NYC - LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark Airport!

But also, we are an ecumenical ministry that is committed to unity within the Body of Christ and invite speakers of different theological backgrounds to come teach and preach at Sowers Summit.

Is the conference location wheelchair accesible?

YES! You’ll have access to elevators and ramps and the closest train station on 79th street has an elevator too!

I can't make it in person - will there be a LIVESTREAM option?

For now, we are not offering that option.
